Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure in Zimbabwe
As a Nutanix partner in Zimbabwe, NITS sizes and builds Nutanix clusters around your workloads, migrates your existing virtual machines, and supports the platform locally after go-live.
What is Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure?
Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI) is Nutanix's hyperconverged platform. It pools the disks inside standard x86 servers into one distributed storage layer, AOS, and runs virtual machines on the AHV hypervisor (or VMware ESXi) on the same servers. The result is a single cluster that replaces separate servers, storage arrays and storage networking, managed from one console, Prism.
Data is written to more than one node, so a failed disk or server doesn't interrupt workloads, and the cluster rebuilds the lost copies automatically. Compression, deduplication and erasure coding reduce the raw capacity you need, snapshots and replication protect data on site and at a second location, and Life Cycle Manager upgrades firmware, hypervisor and Nutanix software across the cluster in one operation. Clusters scale a node at a time, from small branch sites to large data centres.
