Nutanix AHV in Zimbabwe
NITS plans and runs VMware-to-AHV migrations as a Nutanix partner: we assess your environment, move non-critical workloads first, and migrate production in agreed windows with a rollback plan for every stage.
What is Nutanix AHV?
AHV is the hypervisor built into Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure. Based on the open-source KVM hypervisor and hardened by Nutanix, it runs Windows and Linux virtual machines with the features enterprise workloads need: high availability, live migration, automatic load balancing across hosts and GPU support, all managed from Prism. AHV is included with Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure, so there is no separate hypervisor licence to buy.
For organisations facing higher VMware renewals, AHV is a supported route off vSphere. Nutanix Move, a free migration tool, copies virtual machines from VMware ESXi or Hyper-V to AHV while they keep running, then switches them over in a short, planned window. Optional Flow Network Security adds microsegmentation, so you can control traffic between virtual machines without extra appliances.
